If the masculine form of a profession ends in -o, to make the feminine we change the o into an a. If it ends in a consonant, we add on an a.

If it ends in -a, there is no change: Practice the feminine forms of these:

el abogado:

lawyer.

el periodista:

journalist.

el economista:

economist.

el escritor:

writer.

el arquitecto:

architect.
